Beyond The Boundary - Anime Review

Plot : Mirai is the sole survivor of her clan who possess the power to develop weapons from their blood. The job of Mirai is to hunt down and slaughter Yommu - creatures which escalates negative human emotions. One fine day, she comes across Akihito, who is half-human and half-yommu. Being confused, she tries to kill Akihito but failed to do so and that’s when she realise that Akihito is immortal.
Both of them becomes very good friends after this incident and thus began their adventure of killing yommu. The siblings of Nase family, Mitsuki and Hiromi also accompanies them in the adventure.


As story progress, we come across a different side of Akihito - the demon side. On one fine day, Mirai tries to kill a Hollow Yommu (supposed to be quite strong) alone. Akihito feeling worried about Mirai plans to help her in the mission. Due to large negative energy surrounding the Hollow Yommu, Akihito loses his conscious and turns into Yommu.
But as the bond between Mirai and Akihito strengthens, the most powerful yommu - Beyond the Boundary approaches and we a huge suspense is resolved!


Our Opinion : The anime starts with a good plot but in between(3-6 episodes) it felt kind of boring. Later on new things comes up and we get to see a good combination of love and action. Many mysteries regarding Beyond The Boundary are resolved which adds to the twists of the storyline. Although, not enough time is given in the suspense building along the process!
As far as animation is considered, it is quite decent. Sounds and character development is also quite mediocre. The end of the anime seems to be illogical as no information is provided about it.


Final Verdict : Overall it is a good anime with not much things to explore. But yes, the love and friendship bond is shown to be quite strong in the anime, so if you like some love or friendship ( slice of life) things then this anime will definitely be of interest to you! But anyone expecting some action and stuff will be really disappointed!

    i watched it and from my point of view its a good anime not as much as i thought it would be nut the opening and ending both were great
    i would recommend it to a few , voice of mirai was great in Japanese
