The Saga of Tanya the Evil : Anime Review

Plot: Tanya Degurechaff is a young soldier infamous for predatorial-like ruthlessness and an uncanny, tactical aptitude, earning her the nickname of the "Devil of the Rhine." Underneath her innocuous appearance, however, lies the soul of a man who challenged Being X, the self-proclaimed God, to a battle of wits—which resulted in him being reincarnated as a little girl into a world of magical warfare. Hellbent on defiance, Tanya resolves to ascend the ranks of her country's military as it slowly plunges into world war, with only Being X proving to be the strongest obstacle in recreating the peaceful life she once knew. But her perceptive actions and combat initiative have an unintended side effect: propelling the mighty Empire into becoming one of the most powerful nations in mankind's history.

Our Opinion : It’s quite rare to see that the main protagonist is also working as a villain in the anime. Only some anime have used this concept and very few of them were successful. With no doubt, this anime is one of them.
The anime revolves majorly around Tanya. It tries to show how she achieves name and ranks in the military regiment using her magic, calculative and tactical attitude. She is a complete atheist and the basic idea behind the anime is to show how she survives the First World War even after posing lots of obstacles by God himself.
These obstacles are in the form of missions and we were amazed by how skillfully they were accomplished by Tanya and her team.  The missions become more and more tougher but it’s great to watch how Tanya uses her magical ability and brain to solve them.

At the end of anime, you will wish to see more of her because of how wonderfully she is portrayed in the anime.Animation was pretty awesome especially the fight scenes were nicely executed. The background sound used in the scenes were also good.

Final Verdict : I will highly recommend this anime to all those who like war and military anime. No romance or anything of that sort is present in the anime. It is focused completely on war, hence people who don’t like war and stuff might get disappointed!!!
