Ajin - Anime Review

Episodes : 26 ( 2 seasons each of 13 episodes)

Genre : Action, Horror, Mystery, Seinen, Supernatural

Plot : Mysterious immortal humans known as "Ajin" first appeared 17 years ago in Africa. Upon their discovery, they were labeled as a threat to mankind, as they might use their powers for evil and were incapable of being destroyed. Since then, whenever an Ajin is found within society, they are to be arrested and taken into custody immediately.
Kei Nagai is a high school student who aspires to be a doctor someday, having a little knowledge about Ajin. He met with a very deadly accident after which he realizes that he is an Ajin since the deadly accident has very less effect on him. A normal human would have died by this accident.

Confused and shattered, he tries to run away from everything and his childhood friend helps him in doing so. The news of Ajin spread like a wildfire in Japan, thus the police and Ajin Management Department leaves no stone upturn to find Magai. Leaving his childhood friend behind, Magai searches for people who are Ajins but their identity is not yet publicly revealed.

He stumbles across some Ajins who have some dark ulterior motive and are nothing but criminals fighting for Ajin’s rights with their own form of justice . Will Magai join them or refuse them? For that, you will have to watch the anime….

Our Opinion : The plot is pretty amazing and the twists and turns makes you addicted to the anime. After some time, you might be able to correlate the anime with Tokyo Ghoul but trust me the later part of the anime is much exciting than Tokyo Ghoul.

Although, like everyone I was also utterly disappointed by the animation as they tried to project everything into 3D stuff. But I feel that’s not a challenge at all because as you watch the anime, you will get comfortable with the animation as the story sidelines every other thing!!

The character development of protagonist and villain is phenomenal. Villain is given quite a lot of importance and you will want more of him!
As far as the sound is considered, it synchronizes well with the anime’s genre!

Final Verdict : Overall, it is a phenomenal anime if we leave aside the animation! But as I mentioned, you will soon get a hold of anime as the story makes you neglect every other thing!

That’s it from our side. Hope you like this review and if you haven’t seen it yet, then go & watch it now!
