Top 5 Best Sports Anime

Hey guys! What’s going on?
Few years back (7-8 yrs to be precise), I watched Inazuma Eleven which was airing on Cartoon Network. It used to be so good that I became a fan of sports anime. Well, sports anime are the most realistic things you will get in the market (as of now). Not only that, they are quite motivating and thrilling as well especially when the protagonist tries to overcome difficulties during a tough match.

So here is a list of top 5 sports anime based on their plot and how realistic they turned out.

No.5 => Yowamushi Pedal

Sakamichi Onoda has entered a new school. Being an otaku, he wants to open a new anime club in his school. He starts searching for people who might be interested to join. Onoda always used to travel using his bulky bicycle. One fine day, some of his schoolmates(from cycling club) notices him due to his good cycling skills. They persuade him to join the cycling club and that’s how the story begins!
No.4 => Ace of Diamond

Eijun Sawamura, the main protagonist of Ace of Diamond is a pitcher who joins an elite school. Together with the rest of the team, they wish to win Japan’s Baseball championship. Initially, Sawamura seems pretty useless but as story progresses, it becomes more and more interesting. Overall, it’s a good anime which also gives importance to side characters as well.

No.3 => Kuroko No Basket

Kuroko is a skinny guy who has very less presence on the field which helps him to play without anyone noticing. There used to be a team called ‘Generation of Miracles’ which was supposed to be best. But after the junior schools got over, each player went into separate high schools. Later on they face each other at Inter High School. Although, there are some infeasible things in the anime but the sole reason why this anime is in the top 5 list is because of its plot. Trust me, it has a great plot!

No.2 => Hajime No Ippo

Hajime No Ippo is a boxing anime and also the most oldest anime in the list. The story revolves around a boy named Makunouchi Ippo who has been bullied his entire life. Once in the midst of bullying, he was saved by a boxer who takes Ippo to a gym. He persuades him to punch a punching bag which Ippo is unable to do due to lack of confidence. But after placing a photo of Ippo’s classmate on punching bag, he landed a punch like never before. It was this time when he realised that he wants to pursue boxing.

No.1 => Haikyuu!!

Before starting this anime, I know nothing of volleyball but now I just love volleyball. The story starts with a guy named Hinata who is quite short due to which a lot of players bully him. But despite being short, he plays so effortlessly that his opponents gets stunned. Hinata, with his high school team wish to get into Japan’s Nationals and thus we witness a marvelous journey where every member is given a good time to develop its character. One thing which the anime does nicely is Suspense : suspense during each match which literally gives you goosebumps.
